Every sun in the universe

Every sun in the universe is 'seen' in this context. It is believed to be self-consuming as it burns the hydrogen gas that it is made of. The hydrogen gas is deemed to power a process of nuclear fusion deep within a sun, which is said converts hydrogen into helium with the release of free energy. By this theory, after a few dozen billion years have passed, every sun in the universe will have burned itself out, towards the end of the universe itself. The death of the universe is thereby deemed to be assured by the built-in entropy of the cosmic system that is simply unavoidable. Can this be true?
